About Me

Hi! My name is Ben Wiley, and I am currently a third-year undergraduate student studying Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. My interests lie at the intersection of web development and business applications; I am always looking to hone my abilities to create user-friendly, robust, and intuitive web applications that can help provide value to their end-users.

At the University of Minnesota, I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, as well as a minor in Chinese Language & Literature. Beyond the classroom, I participate in Human Computer Interaction research with Grouplens Research where I am able to employ computational resources to identify and explore socially-impactful problems.

I am currently a third year undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; my expected graduation date is May 2021, and I am pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Software & Data Systems Development. Software Development Intern@ C.H. Robinson

May 2018 - August 2018

  • Focused on back-end software development with the Robinson Fresh delivery team. This internship consisted of executing project deliverables for an Agile team and carrying out team stories with the business goals in sight. Worked in an Agile Scrum team with C#, ServiceStack, Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and RESTful APIs.
  • Designed and built a full-stack web application tasked with automating the actions of adding new hires to enterprise resources using an Angular frontend, ASP.NET Core Web API with over ten REST API endpoints, and a SQL Server backend


Application for lunch and dinner menus, check-ins, and RSVPs using Flask and MySQL.
